Mark Morris Institute

Empowering the veterinary community with independent, evidence-based nutrition education

About MMI

Since 1993, the Mark Morris Institute (MMI) has led the charge in clinical nutrition education in the veterinary industry, serving over 2,000 vet students annually as the only independent non-profit organization of its kind. Our team of board-certified veterinary nutritionists and instructional designers works diligently to curate the most up-to-date, objective data on small animal nutrition into engaging learning materials. We design and deliver resources and tools made specifically to equip veterinary students and graduate veterinarians with the nutrition knowledge they need to help their dog and cat patients.

Veterinary School Nutrition Courses

Our Veterinary Nutrition Teaching Program offers current, independent dog and cat nutrition learning activities at no cost to schools of veterinary medicine in North America and the Caribbean. We offer options of live in-person or online lectures, recorded lectures, case-based discussions, practical exercises (laboratories), and asynchronous e-learning modules, which can be combined to create a customized clinical nutrition course – core or elective - for your institution.
